Post-doctoral Position Available in the Despa Lab!

Dr. Florin Despa's laboratory is currently accepting applications for a newly opened post-doctoral scholar position! The successful candidate will join an exciting collaborative research program in the lab of Dr. Florin Despa investigating the role of amylin pathobiology in type 3c diabetes mellitus (T3cDM). This translational project integrates molecular, cellular, and biochemical approaches to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets for pancreatic endocrine dysfunction.

Vivek Pandey awarded his first research grant

Dr. Nirmal Verma, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in Dr. Florin Despa's lab will present in Los Angeles, California at the International Stroke Conference (ISC) 2025. The American Heart Association's ISC is the largest conference of its kind, focusing on cerebrovascular disease and brain health. Dr. Verma's presentation will focus on the potential role of diabetes-associated hyperamylinemia in stroke.
